In 2021 after 20 years as a DJ, Eric made the move to combine his love of both music production and DJing into the 'live_techno' improvised performance he does today. Each performance is improvised live on hardware synthesizers and drum machines as a 'moment in time' inspired by the energy of the crowd and the place. No two sets are alike, and sets are not prepared in advance.
Eric has traveled the world for years being touched by rhythms and melodies from Tunisia and Morocco, to Mexico, the Caribbean, East Asia, Australia, European Techno, Salsa, reggae, and more. All of this has fused in to his passion for rhythm, beat, and groove. This gets translated to the listener through a blend of sexy, groovy, driving, primal techno. It is an intangible emotional sensation that releases inhibitions and sets them free to move, groove, and express themselves on the dance floor.
Eric has performed in globally rated nightclubs like Space Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, and Beta Nightclub as well as prominent venues in Berlin, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Miami, Vancouver, and many more.
As a producer Eric’s productions have charted in the Top 10 Techno on Beatport, Traxsource, Trackitdiwn.com, and Juno Dowload, including the MUM ADE Sampler for 2012 which was the #1 compilation of the year. Eric has released original tracks and remixes (as SURCO, Eric Bingham, and Ricard) on international imprints including Eclipse, Black Square, My Own Beat, 76 Recordings, Tech-It, JourneyDeep Black, Kiko Records, White Kat, Manchester Underground Music, Funk' N Deep, Neptuun City, Dance Lab Recordings, Aerotek Recordings, Bump, Kool Katz, Hed Kandi, Kontakt, Miami Underground Records, Aurical, Kult, Audio Planet, Macro, S2H Digital, and more.
